Associate Veterinarian
Norwalk Animal Hospital, located in beautiful Fairfield County, Connecticut, is seeking a full-time veterinarian to join our progressive practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in medicine, be client-oriented with strong client communication skills, and be a dedicated, enthusiastic team player. New and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. We have a strong mentoring program for new graduates.
Norwalk Animal Hospital is a privately owned, AAHA accredited small animal practice serving the community since 1980. Our team has a strong partnership with our clients built on quality pet care, respect for the patient and the client, and clear communication and education. We offer top quality customer service and have a loyal following as shown in our clients’ glowing reviews and online ratings. Our hospital stresses preventative care, exceptional workups and treatments, dentistry, surgery, canine rehabilitation, behavior, nutritional counseling, and boarding. Norwalk Connecticut is a shoreline town located along the Long Island Sound. With a population of 90,000 Norwalk is the perfect size community to offer an abundance of activity with a smaller city feel. We have an abundance of diverse restaurants and nightlife. Beaches, several parks, hiking and biking trails are all within town. Fairfield County has an abundance of award-winning schools. We are located 40 miles from New York City, easily accessible by car or train in an hour.
As an associate veterinarian at Norwalk Animal Hospital, you will appreciate our well-equipped facility. Our high-end equipment includes our VetScalpel Surgical Laser, Innovet Digital Radiography, Zoetis In-House Laboratory, Chison Ultrasound, fully equipped dental suite, including dedicated digital radiography, Companion Therapy Laser, state of the art anesthesia monitoring equipment, cryo- and electrocautery Surgery, and canine rehabilitation. Our Doctor to Staff is approximately 5:1 and our technical staff is experienced and highly supportive.
Our close proximity to several 24-hour referral and emergency centers allows us to offer our staff the benefit of no on-call or after-hours duties. Cornell University Veterinary Specialists, amongst others, is less than 20 minutes from us. Our schedules are flexible and feature an excellent balanced quality of life. Our hospital has a history of very low staff turnover due to the importance we put on work-life balance and maintaining an atmosphere of kindness and respect.
