Anna Podgorska, DVM

Becoming a veterinarian has been a dream of mine since I was a young child. I grew up taking care of stray animals, volunteering at the ASPCA, as well as working as an assistant at an animal clinic. After completing my undergraduate degree at Fordham University, I obtained my Master’s degree from Columbia University, and my veterinary degree from Tufts University. Once I graduated from veterinary school, I completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at the ASPCA Animal Hospital in New York City. I then spent five years as general practitioner in NYC. I am now really excited to join the wonderful team at Norwalk Animal Hospital and provide to the area’s pets.

My professional interests include feline medicine, pain management, and surgery. I am Fear Free certified, Cat Friendly Veterinarian certified and I enjoy giving back to the community by volunteering with rescue organizations.

When not at work, I enjoy hiking and climbing mountains, kayaking, long-distance running, cooking vegan food, and spending time in my garden. I live with my husband and our two cats, Theo and Rainier.

Dr. Podgorska is a fear free certified veterinarian.
